ESG
Pursuing asustainable future begins with every choice we make.
GIORMANI is committed to practicing circular economy and ensuring the sustainability of consumption andproduction patterns. Through a series of concrete measures, we aim to lead theindustry towards sustainable development, allowing every customer to feel thiscommitment when choosing our products.
We choose raw materials to produce durable products
The lifespan of our products iscrucial in reducing waste. Since 2005, GIORMANI has adopted a constructionmethod specified by the renowned German manufacturer WECO for the internalstructure of our upholstery, using only natural solid wood and plywood whileavoiding medium-density fiberboard (MDF) or particle board. Connections betweenwood pieces are reinforced with wood glue or screws, significantly enhancingproduct durability.
Additionally, we choose durableand certified materials that have been inspected and meet international or national quality standards to ensure that each product can accompany you for alonger time. Beyond the robust internal structure, we promote genuine leatherand abrasion-resistant fabrics as high-quality upholstery materials, primarilyusing high-density polyurethane foam as filling to maintain excellentresilience and prolong comfort.
Starting in 2024, Wewill increase the warranty from 5 years to 10 years. This not only shows ourdedication to customers but also highlights our confidence in product quality, enabling users to prolong the life of their upholstery, decrease unnecessarywaste, and reduce resource consumption.
Harnessing renewable energy toprotect our planet
In 2025, GIORMANI launched a long-term plan to gradually transition production energy from fossil fuels to solar energy, aiming for 70% of our production energy to come from renewable sources within 5 years, significantly reducing our carbon footprint.
LWG Certified Leather:By 2025, all genuine leather used by GIORMANI will come from Leather Working Group (LWG)* certified factories, ensuring that leather production meets international quality standards and high environmental requirements while safeguarding the rights of employees and customers.
Low Formaldehyde Materials:Since 2010, all internal frames of GIORMANI upholstery have used wood-based panels that comply with the EU's low formaldehyde E1 standard, reducing health impacts and contributing to environmental protection.
FSC Certified Wood:Starting in 2025, all recliner sofa products will also be FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, ensuring the wood is sourced from sustainably and responsibly managed forests to support resource sustainability.
Water-Based Adhesive Transition:Over 90% of the adhesives used in processing will be water-based, significantly reducing volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions and further protecting consumer health.
Use of Recycled Materials:We recycle waste PU foam and PET spray cotton into 竹igh-density recycled cotton and PET liner with recycled content to replace some new materials, reducing the demand for new resources and ensuring the most effective use of resources.
* LWG is a globally recognized and reputable certification body in the leather industry, ensuring that leather products and their production processes adhere to international quality and safety standards, while also upholding high levels of environmental protection and employee rights.

Supporting local design and perpetuating the spiritof originality
GIORMANI supports original design by collaborating with local designers and illustrators to create products that meet the needs of Hong Kong people. We also work with local leather factory The Lederer to utilize leather scraps to create practical products, giving these materials a second life and promoting a blend of social responsibility and innovative thinking.
Since 2015, the brand has designed a physical product each year for design students at local universities, allowing them to experience the product development and manufacturing process, encouraging more young people in Hong Kong to join the furniture design industry after graduation, ensuring the continued development and transmission of the industry, while promoting greater appreciation for local original design among consumers and society.
Our efforts hasresulted in several international certifications (such as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015), and we have received recognition for various ESG qualifications in HongKong. These achievements highlight our dedication to environmental protectionand social responsibility, while also boosting consumer confidence in ourbrand.
Through these initiatives, GIORMANI represents a commitment to both the environment and society, aiming to inspire more businesses and individuals to participate in sustainable development efforts. Together, we can build a better future where every choice promotes environmental protection.
